According to this article on Windows 7 new touch capabilities, Windows can now work like an iPOD with touch capabilities with a small hardware addition.  But my question is, how many people prefer the mouse to a touchscreen? I can’t imagine many benefits because having your finger on the screen can block your view.  But I could see that during a meeting being able to physically manipulate a whiteboard or docs on a touchscreen rather than using markers could be revolutionary for meetings.
